Farm Hand

​

40 Hours per week.

Compensation: $20.00 p/h for first four weeks then $25.00 p/h thereafter.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform multiple different tasks as directed.

Plant out crops as directed – sow seeds, add nutrients, roll out/add ground cover crops.

Maintain crops and service as required and directed.

Take part in harvesting operations – which may involve the use of small or large farm equipment Tractors, hand tools etc. Beatification of farm areas as directed using farm equipment provided – whipper snippers, mowers etc .

Water and maintain plants.

Use farm machinery to maintain farm areas.

Report any broken machinery or equipment to supervisor immediately.

Heavy lifting.

Use of farm vehicles on site.

 

Key Skills

Physically fit .

The job is labour intensive, spread out over 120 acres of hills, mud and bush.

Drivers licence.

Listening abilities a must.

Quick learning abilities.

Machinery tickets or experience using farm equipment both small and large – whipper snippers, tractors etc

Experience in horticulture, permaculture.

Cannabis Industry knowledge Preferred but not required.

Punctuality, Honesty, Trustworthy, Attention to detail, Cleanliness, Conscientious worker, Self motivated, Common-sense, Troubleshooting mentality, Good Communication skills.

 

Attire

Work clothes and/or ACU provided shirt. Work boots.
